Follow the simple steps to open Windows Registry editor
Step 1: Open Run Command
To do this click on start button and then click on Run or
Shortcut: press win+R
Step 2: Now type 'regedit' in run command (regedt32 for windows 2000) and press enter.
In Windows Vista and Windows 7, you can directly type 'regedit' in start menu's search box.
In Windows 8, while on start screen, start typing 'regedit', a search box will automatically appear with search results.
After pressing enter registry editor window will get displayed.
Note: Please be aware of the impacts of editing Windows Registry. I recommend you to please take backup of your Windows Registry before you proceed altering it.
