Meta description tags are important to optimize your blog/post for search results. They can improve the chances of your blog/site/post getting found in search results. Blogger has provide very easy way to provide this useful information on our blog. It includes two steps: First to enable and add meta data description and second add meta description to individual posts.

Posts meta description can be added in post editor. Click on 'Search Description' in Post settings on right hand side of the editor. In text area, you can enter meta description of the post and then click on Done.

Follow the simple steps:
- Go to Blogger Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Search preferences
- Meta tags > Description
By default this option is disabled. You have to enable it add some description about your website. So this description will serve as meta description for your whole blog/site. - Save Changes.
